Soputan Volcano Trek

Located in North Sulawesi, Mount Soputan is an active volcano surrounded by forest and simple natural scenery. The area includes tropical trees, some pine forest, and open volcanic ground from past eruptions. During the trek, you walk through a mix of forest paths and more open areas, with views toward the crater from a safe distance. The trek is moderate in difficulty, so a good level of fitness is required, but it is still suitable for those who are used to light to medium hiking.

This is a true adventure for those who love nature and a bit of challenge! At 05:30, we depart from your hotel in Manado and drive through the scenic countryside towards the base of Mount Soputan, arriving around 07:30. After a short preparation and safety briefing until 08:00, we begin the trek through dense forest, pine trees, and volcanic landscapes. The hike gradually ascends over approximately three hours, reaching a safe viewpoint near the secondary peak at around 11:00.

From 11:00 to 12:00, enjoy breathtaking views of the active volcano and its surroundings while resting and taking photos. We then descend back to basecamp from 12:00 to 14:00, followed by a late lunch at a nearby local restaurant from 14:00 to 15:00. At 15:00, we begin the return journey to your hotel, arriving between 17:00 and 17:30, completing a rewarding full-day trekking experience.
